DANA H. CHAMBERLAIN, DDS
Dr. Dana Chamberlain has resided in Marion with his family for over 30 years. After graduating from The Medical College of Virgina in Richmond, he completed his residency at the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Later, he served at the U.S. Public Health Service Headquarters Clinic in Washington, D.C., where he counted several U.S. Congressmen and Senators as patients. He then relocated to beautiful Southwest Virginia to enter into private practice.
Dr. Chamberlain is a member of the American Dental Association, is a Fellow of the Virginia Dental Association, and is a past president of the Southwest Virginia Dental Society. He is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Southeastern Academy of Prosthodontics and Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. In 2017, he was inducted into the International College of Dentists.
Not only has Dr. Chamberlain served the community of Southwest Virginia in his capacity as a dentist, but also as a Boy Scout Leader and District Chairman, Youth Sports Coach, and on the boards of Marion Downtown and the Lincoln Theater. He is a long-time member and past president of the Marion Rotary Club and was awarded their Citizen of the Year in 2009. He and his wife, Karen, have two children and three grandchildren. He enjoys traveling, hiking, puttering in his workshop and playing his bagpipe with the Appalachian Highlanders Pipes and Drums.
Practice Manager/Certified Dental Assistant
Tina has been a team member at Dr. Chamberlain’s office for over 33 years. She has a special passion for dentistry, customer service, staff appreciation and learning new things. Tina feels blessed to have been able to work with Dr. Chamberlain for this many years and is proud of the wonderful, friendly staff and great patients.
She has been married 32 years to Mike, a musician and the best Grandad. They have one son, Canaan, an avid motocross racer. Canaan and his wife Stefanie have two amazing children, Meela and Ezra. Tina’s favorite title is Granna, even though Mom, sister, aunt and friend make her life complete.
Sharon has been with Dr. Chamberlain’s office for almost 30 years. Patients are greeted by her friendly voice on the phone and at the front desk.
She and her husband, Ronnie, enjoy spending time with family and friends, many outdoor activities, and watching good ‘ole western movies.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Julie Thompson is a hygienist who has been with Dr. Chamberlain's office since 2013. She attended Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English. She then continued her education by attending the dental hygiene program at Wytheville Community College. Julie graduated with her Associates of Dental Hygiene in 2012.
Julie is originally from Hermitage, Pennsylvania but moved to Marion with her husband 7 years ago. They have three children together (ages 6, 4, and 7 months) and Julie spends much of her free time at home with them.
Registered Dental Hygienist
For four years, Kathy has thoroughly enjoyed her time at Dr. Chamberlain’s office and feels she has learned so much. She has been a Hygienist for 26 years and was a Dental Assistant for 12 years. Dr. Chamberlain’s office is the kind of practice she likes to be associated with; caring, compassionate and modern dental technology. The patients come first!
In a very busy four years, she and her husband, David celebrated their 40th anniversary with a cruise to the Bahamas. Living in the Cleghorn Valley community of Chilhowie, her family remains members of Little Rock Baptist Church. She and David are doting grandparents of 7 year old, Emery and almost 9 year old, Brady. Their daughter, Megan teaches in Smyth County and son-in-law, Brent, is a banker. She feels that God has truly blessed her family!
Certified Dental Assistant
Cindy may be the newest member of Dr. Chamberlain’s team, but is no stranger to the patients; having been a longtime resident of Chilhowie. After receiving a Dental Assisting degree from Wytheville Community College, she has worked in Southwest Virginia as an assistant for over 30 years.
Happily married to husband, Tim, for 30 years, they have a daughter, Hannah, who is now grown and married. Cindy’s spare time is spent enjoying services as an active member of Chilhowie Baptist Church, relaxing by the pool and taking evening walks with her husband and dog, Willow.
